Privacy Policy
CartDunedin is designed with a zero-tracking, privacy-first model. This policy describes exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.
What we collect
Nothing is collected, transmitted, sold, shared, or profiled. CartDunedin has no backend server, no account system, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking SDKs of any kind.
Location
CartDunedin requests "When In Use" location access solely to:
- show your current position on the map, and
- compute golf-cart-legal directions from your location.
Your location is used only on your device, only while the app is open, and is never stored, logged, or transmitted anywhere. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in iOS Settings; the app will still let you browse the map and search destinations, but cannot show your position or start turn-by-turn routing without it.
Favorites & recents
Destinations you save as favorites — and a short list of your recent destinations shown on the home screen — are stored only on your device (using Apple's standard local storage). The app never uploads, syncs, or shares them with us or anyone else. Like other app data, they may be included in your own device backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup), which only you control. Deleting the app deletes them.
Third parties
CartDunedin uses only Apple's native MapKit and CarPlay frameworks. It does not integrate any third-party mapping, analytics, or advertising SDK.
Children's privacy
CartDunedin does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect personal information at all.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change and the new version will be published at this same URL.
